"Islamic Integration in Achieving Sustainable and Development Goals (SDGs)"
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations on September 25th, 2015 as global development to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2023 all humans will live in peace and prosperity. The SDGs contain 17 Goals and 169 Targets that will be realized in the next 15 years (from 2016 to 2030). Every country has a moral responsibility to achieve these Targets and Goals. The creativity, innovation, knowledge, technology, culture and financial resources from all of society is necessary to achieve the SDGs in every context. All human resources can contribute including the government sector, private sector, community organizations, academics, etc.
Integrating Islamic studies in achieving the SDGs is an urgent topic for academics, because Islam and the SDGs can run simultaneously to accompany societal transformation to achieve global goals by 2030. This conference invites all scholars in various fields, such as education, economics, law, religion, science, etc. to present the results of their studies in developing Islam and the SDGs, so that they can contribute to provide a strong basis in determining the next steps to achieve the global development and those researches will be an overview of Islam rahmatan lil ‘alamin.
